EOH / Imperial Sales Cadet – Custom Sales Coaching Partner

In 2017, Izon Communications was appointed the Custom Sales Training partner for the highly successful and ambitious Sales Cadet Programme implemented across Gauteng, Western Cape, KZN and the Free State.

Creating a customised sales and engagement coaching programme for the motor retail industry and delivering the coaching sessions over a 10 month period along with mentorship sessions has resulted in great success for cadets applying the techniques and principles shown.

Moving into phase 4 in 2018 has validated the contribution made to the Sales Cadet Programme and to the effectiveness of this system in a particularly tough industry environment.

“Day one from a narratives perspective, with regards to the sales training I first want to thank you Craig, my success was not possible without your guidance and support. My first sensation was sudden confusion, because I got sold the idea that this is a car sales program hence the name Sales Cadet, so instead of being taught to sell Cars or as you know Trucks I was told by a  progressive sales specialist( Craig berman) to forget the vehicles and focus my energy on selling the dream.

Mind boggling as that was, this became a truth to me and I focused my energy on the dream of the customer. My favourite customers became the first-time buyers, because I had a mountain of knowledge to share with them and my sole goal is to provide them with the one thing that would make their dreams come true when it came to expanding their business.

The second session came and I had sold my first Truck, it was an NPR 400 with a Drop side body, the customer’s name was Jan Hendrik.

To me it was such a joyous feeling that I could not even explain, on top of all that I sold the truck in the fastest time ever!

Remember this was a big deal because I was still an intern and with regards to the program I was not even allowed to sell.

So, you can imagine the blockages I faced from the real sales executive’s because I sold a unit. For that period, I was banned from even answering the phone, but that did not stop me.

After all that I spoke again to my sales master (Craig Berman) and again our minds where bamboozled, instead of the dream we was to focus on the truth of sale because before that I just ran in and focused on the numbers, how many customers I can call and asked if I may quote them, but the force was not with me, Craig then informed me it’s not about the quantity, instead I was to focus on the quality of my engagement with the customers reduce my number and deliver smart quality service.”

Craig Berman is by far the best facilitator I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and learning from. The delivery of each lesson is super charged with high energy and he encourages participation from everyone by use of practical examples as well as in class group activities and enactments. He breaks down the subject matter to it’s simplest form and show you how you can apply the lesson in your everyday life and business.

As an entrepreneur in the making; Modules 6 and 7 resonated greatly with me because they highlighted pitfalls we fall into as businesses rendering a service to customers, while modules 9 and 10 blew my preconceived perception about sales and selling into smithereens. I am immensely grateful that I got the opportunity to learn from this great man. Thank you Craig for imparting your wealth of knowledge with us, I appreciate you.

“I would like to thank you for your continual effort and energy at the training sessions as well as the insightful and interesting subject matter.

I like how you established engagement as the number one factor to focus on. I agree with what you were saying that people are so used to the greasy and sleazy sales people that when they are faced with an advisor they do not know how to react and it is a breath of fresh air compared to how they are used to being treated.”
